i ended up sleeping, trying to get my head out of that annoying sound. skali udah malam, i wanted to watch robin hood.. tpi tibi inda baik. bejalan channelnya sndiri, inda mau beranti. misteri! :o haha. sasakku eh! and i got headache ofkos. haih. swallowed (memapak) dua biji penadol. i hope thats all i need..
i read the news, Palestine's statehood got recognized by UN. this brings me back to our simulation assignment some months ago. im warning you that im about to tell a FICTION. about our simulation. this story is UNREAL. its a just a game, a simulation, an assignment.
THIS IS UNREAL STORY. incase u arrived from google, im telling u once again, this is not a real story. this was part of our simulation exercise, our assignment at uni. thank you.
in that simulation (it was on thurs, too! haha. the announcement was on friday though. hehe), we ran this 'game' where Palestine got recognized by UN. i wish i remember by how many votes. a yes, a no, an the absentisssttss. eventhough that was only an assignment, i remember being happy. smiling with some kind of... pride and... feeling victorious. i was playing as Nasrallah, the current leader of Shi'ee Lebanon resistant movement, so i didnt get to vote.. because i wasnt playing as a country! i just voiced out my "vote", saying Lebanon would do so.. but not sure if the real Nasrallah would really favour Palestine's recognition via UN. because he was strongly against Palestine's recognition via nego between Palestine and Israel/US.. but thats because he was in the opinion that "Palestine will not be given anything through that negotiation" which is logical.. so anyway, i think he would be okay if the recognition is thru UN.. but he wouldnt believe that palestine will be a secure state without any disturbance from that "neighbour" anymore.. he wouldnt believe that Israel will just stop and respect and give Palestine its rights.. no, i think he would say "The Zionists will never stop doing chaos and we cant just sit tight and watch. we have to be careful. and the only way to win this is through resistance" maybe? haha. thats a part of what i wrote in the simulation though. ah you should take note too that Nasrallah said he never hated Israel, its the Zionists that they 'disrespect'..
okay, back to the recognition story in the simulation.. before we casted the vote in UN, there were some "incidents" occured. after all countries have been invited to vote and the place, the date were all set... Hamas got attacked. one of the senior member was killed along with some many other Palestinians. simulation says there were two possibilities: -PLO (Palestinian Liberation Organization or was it mentoned as Fatah, i forgot) was the one behind this attack because they didnt want Hamas to take control of the country once it was recognized, - Israel was behind the attack because they want to ruffle Hamas/PLO/Fatah feathers between them.. as they didnt want a secure and well function Palestine.. and simulation's investigation concluded it was Israel's doing. aimed to delay the recognition "Palestine cannot be recognized as the parties are killing each other. it is unstable and uncapable to function as a statehood. blabla" for your info, it is the players' decisions to determine the direction of the simulation. the one who played the role to "investigate" decided it was israel's doing, then it was israel's. depends also on our control's (lecturer) approval. normally he approves, unless it is going too out of the track..
after the recognition, an article by those who play as the news NYT wrote that Palestine could not function well as a state because in practice, there are a lot of weaknesses still. the country doesnt have secure economic resources, doesnt have enough money to rebuild and there are a lot of refugees.... it is predicted that palestine could fall into a "failed" state and so recognition came in vain.. which made a lot of senses actually, sadly. unless all the islamic states unite or all the other countries menyumbang pertolongan berbentuk duit dan tenaga dan doa.. but ofcourse US and israel would not stop at "recognition", something will happen... anyway, reading the article, the simulation Nasrallah came into action (since the real Nasrallah is good with words), so were we in simulation, trying to be good with words.. haha.. saying that "Palestine should not be worried and ignore what others say, we will help build palestine. i call our brothers from all over the world to help financially and physically. the least of it would be prayers..." -thats a part of our long speech. hehe.
our recognition's announcement was on friday.. it was the fifth day of simulation.. everyone got tired. by saturday, simulation was very sunyi.. on sunday, the control said "make your last move. make it count. tmorrow is the last day, simulation will end at 9am. so grab this chance to score a good mark" apa lagi, everyone got active! but it was just concluding remarks. there wasnt really a new simulation direction.. well, EXCEPT this one funny 'incident'. one of my coursemates becali, ia buat israel kana pindahkan ke aussie.. -_- haha which is so unlikely and unreal and bemain! klw atu bnar jua urg yg kmi target ani (ia inda mau ngakun and his team inda exactly pointed him out and the lecturer wont tell. for your info, we didnt know who play who. we know some, but not all. so we were all mysterious characters). so israel kana pindahkan ke aussie. he said that the solution is now found! i chuckled to that. ia kana fund untuk 'rebuild' lah apa lah.. haha. cali kau ani. but ofcourse it was just for fun. the lecturer said "when i read that i was like.. 'wait.. what is this, should i stop them or should i just let it flow'" but he let it flow saja, seeing how short the time was left.. biarkannya saja tia..
basically thats how our simulation ended.. yg logicnya saja sampai komen news atu saja lah..
now it just came back to me how logical the simulation was.. it was a good exercise. but i forgot it for a while now. haha. and now that it came back to me, this latest war was like the mini attack that occured in our simulation. yes? emm. not very sure. but could be. hehe. the past years simulation also had an interesting pattern, the lecturer told us two interesting stories:
one: u remember OSLO peace talk? six months before it occured, they ran the simulation in which the players did some unexpected and unlikely move. the one who played yaasir arafat and i dont know who but israel planned a secret meeting, resulted in peace talk. at that time, the lecturer and other academics didnt think that would likely happen. but sure enough, six months later oslo peace talk occured..
two: the simulation was leaked. a country was planning to attack another country. and they sent email to each other, to their accomplices. mcm "lest attack country x cemani cematu sekian sekian" and it got leaked, sampai bepulis segala wah. haha. luckily nada papa buruk yg jadi. they explained it was a uni exercise.. yatah lapas atu strict tia policynya "dont leak it, whatever happens in simulation stays in simulation" ah well, im not leaking anything. its over. and im not telling to the details. nor did i say anything in present tense nor anything contreversial. hehe ;p
its a good exercise. makes us stretch our brain. trying to immerse oursleves in their world. trying to understand their character and their issues. and gave our own direction. if we are good enough, we will produce the same events in the real world. actually, it doesnt matter whether we are good enough or not.. kdg jadi benda yg sama, kdg inda.. its maybe playing the two sides of a coin. if this side doenst happen, that other side happens. politics is predictable. now that i read politics, i see articles many years ago predicting the things that happened after it was written. like arab spring, like the toppling of saddam. like maybe 'terrorism'.. so yeah, its interesting..
ah. bah. okeh :p
note: this story is unreal. this was part of our simulation exercise. majals xp
